Why Self Awareness is necessary?

Wikipedia states Self-Awareness as Self-awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals.
We all have read in books, seen many videos about self-awareness. What does it mean? What role does it play in one's life? When I read about it, I also thought the same. These questions were clouding my mind.  I kept running here and there for answers. I will share it with you all. Self awareness is knowing all about your own self. It can or cannot be related to person's beliefs, personality, culture etc.  Self awareness plays an important role in one's life. Imagine if you are in a situation where you don't know what to do because you don't know about yourself, what will happen? It would feel embarrassing.  Self awareness is necessary to know your own self and it can help you in dealing with many situations no matter whatever phase of life you are going through.

self awareness

1) It makes a person confident.
Imagine that a person is giving a presentation in front of the board about a particular topic but he does know about the topic at all, what would happen? The same is the case with self awareness. You wont be able to deal with situations the way you can if you don't know about your own self. On the other hand, another person who knows about the topic is well prepared and will deliver the presentation confidently. Self awareness is getting ready to face the challenges of life confidently.
2) It helps getting rid of all your fears
Knowing everything about yourself helps you to know your fears as well. This way you can face your fears and break the walls these fears create in your mind. You just keep knowing yourself when you go deeper within yourself revealing your own fears, talents, desires, passions etc.
3) Helps you to decide to pursue the right path
If a person knows about his strengths and weaknesses, he is well prepared to take a better decision of choosing a right path in his/her life. The probability of being successful for a person who is self aware is more than the person who doesn't know about himself/herself.
I would like you all to sit for 5 minutes, not more daily and write down your strengths, weaknesses, desires, fears, passions, talents etc. and see the difference for yourself.

The age-old adage that "money can't buy happiness" is true, but there's a catch. Money can buy you the things that can make you happy. In other words, having more money can lead to a happier life to some extent. However, it's not necessary to have your own money to be happy. The character of Rancho, played by Aamir Khan, is a perfect example of this. For him, happiness was about gaining knowledge, and he was able to do that even though the money wasn...
