While some may view the book as manipulative, others see it as a valuable guide to navigating the complexities of the modern world. In this article, we will discuss some of the key learnings from the book.   1. Power is all around us One of the primary messages of "The 48 Laws of Power" is that power is ubiquitous. It is present in all human interactions, from personal relationships to business dealings. Understanding power dynamics is essential to navigating these relationships successfully. 2. Why 3 Idiots is More Than Just Entertainment: Valuable Lessons for Personal Growth

3 Idiots is more than just a movie - it's a masterpiece that has managed to leave an impact on millions of people. From its heart touching dialogues to its amazing screenplay and relatable characters, this movie has managed to capture the hearts of many. As someone who has watched the movie several times, I can confidently say that it's one of the most inspiring movies out there. Here are some of the most important lessons that I have learned from watching 3 Idiots. Money Can't Buy You Happiness, Really? The age-old adage that "money can't buy happiness" is true, but there's a catch. Money can buy you the things that can make you happy. In other words, having more money can lead to a happier life to some extent. However, it's not necessary to have your own money to be happy. The character of Rancho, played by Aamir Khan, is a perfect example of this. For him, happiness was about gaining knowledge, and he was able to do that even though the money wasn...

I have been Used By, Compromised Many Times too. I am Setting Myself Free. Are you Setting Yourself Free?

Life has many phases. You have to go through all of them. The day you are born till the day you die, you would have spent your life in both measurable and immeasurable experiences. Most of the times, the thing that often comes in mind, is how much you tolerated or compromised yourself for the other person. It doesn't matter what was the position of that person and yours too at that point of time. There always comes a point when one says that yes, I am not able to compromise anymore. It can be due to your observing the things from another person's perspective or because of your own, open-eyed perspective to which you were one blind way long back. Whatever the case may be, a time comes when you feel that you have been weighed down all the time till now and your compromises are just looked down as you being a weak, loser kind of a person. The result, a big blow to your self-esteem , self-confidence , in short, to your self-worth ! It happens in everybody's life....

I have been Weighed Down, Now I am Bouncing Back. Are you Bouncing Back too?

Life revolves around many factors. You have to deal with many aspects of life. Those aspects can be relationships, studies, health, emotional states and several other factors that collectively constitute life . All the people are surrounded by problems. If they don't have a problem, they create one so they can deal with it and have that sense of achievement. There is also another class of people who tend to run away from their problems. Most of the problems nowadays are cooked by them in their head, the remaining ones are due to the fact that they let someone or something to weigh them down. Yes, it's happening! If you sit back and think about it, you will realize that it's the truth . I too have been weighed down many times, I ran from my problems as I sensed that at that time, I was not able to face them only to find out that it is only chasing me and becoming bigger than ever. When I observed closely, I am not alone fighting my own inner and outer battl...

Tell me why? 5 Questions That Will Make You Think Hard

We often come to a point where we are bound to ask one question with every situation that we face in life. That question simply makes us stop and think about how we have lived so far, the mistakes we might or might not have committed. Moreover, it also prepares us for how to see the things from an entirely different perspective, a source of revelation you can say.  Below are some of the questions based on the life experiences that make me stop and ask myself, tell me why? 1. People are so insecure I have seen many, in fact, a lot of many people having a plethora of insecurities. It's like they are overburdening themselves with the unnecessary insecurities. Insecurity from a relationship, insecurity from a job, insecurity from friends, from relatives, siblings, and the list goes on and on! What they don't get is that they are moving away from no one but themselves. Having insecurity is a natural reaction but if it takes over you and controls you, then...

Bridging the Generation Gap - Is it Possible?

I have been observing it daily that the people today are getting unhappy and depressed. Though the depression is something really serious which has taken a toll on most of the people, especially the younger generation. Observing closely, the younger generation is not only the victim of depression alone but a variety of different diseases leading to their unhappiness. What's the cause of this unhappiness? Does upbringing have a role to play in this? The Impatient Youth -  The youth of today has become extremely impatient. Blame it on the upbringing wherein the kids are given everything in the blink of an eye or blame it to the modern day technology (faster internet, faster PCs, gaming consoles etc.). An earlier generation of the 80s and 90s used to have black and white phones which they got at the age of 19 or 20. They used to play games like Snake, Tetris etc. The 80s and 90s generation has seen the transition from 80s to 90s to 2000+ and in this transition, they h...

Every Drop is Essential

Ever since I have realized the importance of water in life, I have been involved in saving water at my personal level. I was such a fool when I used to ignore the taps that were left open accidentally , leaking showers et al. All such instances wasted a lot of water which could have been used for some other purposes. In India, drinking water availability is one big factor that affects many. In order to solve the problem, it has to be a collective effort and not just a single man or a small group of people but a large community should come together to enhance water conservation initiatives. As per my own personal experiences, I believe people can do the following on the personal level to help save more water so that it is available for the future generation. 1. Fix all leakages in the homes and offices By fixing leakages, I mean to really fix the issue and not just by blocking or stopping the leakage by using external blockers. If a tap or shower is cracked or broken get...

Water is an essential ingredient of our daily needs. With the pollution levels increasing, and the groundwater is contaminated, the need for drinking water which is clean is increasing day by day. There are people in our country who are wasting water like it will be always available. It's a resource that is largely neglected in our country. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who are struggling to get a drop of pure drinking water. This raises a question that whether the RO purifiers be ever in the list of necessities in citizens' life or not? Water is needed for proper functioning of the body. It helps in keeping the body hydrated, regulates the temperature of the body, all time refreshing drink which everyone can enjoy without any danger or side effects and it's a source of some of the important minerals too. There are several traditional methods being used in Indian households to purify the water. The thought of choosing RO water purifier is la...

Consistency is the key, my friend!

Abhinav stood still on remembering his life; last 10 years have been wonderful. Although somewhere something was missing. Lately, he had incurred losses to which he couldn’t hold somebody else accountable. Relationships with his peers, even his wife were deteriorating. Everywhere around him was tension that was building up every second he thought about the loss. Sitting in his cabin in his lavish office, he leaned forward. He started banging his forehead with his fists, a sign of worry. He wanted to put back the broken pieces of his life together anyhow for which he was willing to pay any price. As he leaned back reminiscing the happy times he spent with his family, a smile crossed his lips momentarily. He poured some water from the beautiful silver jug placed meticulously on one of the edges of the table. Silence was so eminent that he could hear even the slightest of the noise. He gave a small glance at the clock on the sidewall, the time was 1 AM. He realized...

I am sorry, I have been wrong sometimes!

To be right, you must know what wrong is. To enjoy the food, be hungry first. To enjoy the water, feel the thirst first. To enjoy the riches, you must know how it feels to be completely broke. To know the true meaning of life, you must have felt or had a brush with near death experience. If you have felt this all, you are successful in life, rest all is a myth.                                                                                  - Saurabh Chawla The above quote is entire life encapsulated in few sentences. Often, I have felt like a loser in life. Nothing achieved, noth...

4 C's of Self Talk (Why I do Self Talking?)

All right, you may feel this as crazy, but its the truth.  I think the biggest misconception about me is people really don't know who I really am. They see the party side of me, they see the crazy side of me. But I also have a laid-back side. You know, I'm chill, down to earth. If you want to grab a cup of coffee and just talk about life, I can do that.                                                                                                   - Nicole Polizzi We all do self talki...

How developing communication skills helped me a lot

N o matter where we are, no matter with whom we are conversing with, effective communication skills need to be developed in order to achieve success. If you are running your own business or doing a job, communication can save a lot of hurdles you might be facing.  I too had to face a lot of problems in my startup. I lacked effective communication skills which were causing me harm than good. I believed that I was right but the other person thought I was wrong all the time. Later on I realized that the other person thought was right. I will share the reason why in a while. Developing communication skills is not impossible but yes it can be difficult at times. It takes a lot of experience, practice and observation powers to have effective communication skiils. Now coming to the question why the other person was right. All human beings may seem different  but they have a common trait. They re not concerned with what other prson wants. They are only concerned wi...
