Title: English Bites: My Fullproof English Learning Formula

Author: Manish Gupta

Publisher: Penguin Books

Genre: Non fiction

Number of Pages: 334

My Verdict:
First of all I would like to thank Manish for sending me his book for review. I loved the concept of how he had managed to learn English language in a fun manner. I finished reading the book in about one week. This book is targeted to Students and the ones who are preparing for competitive exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT etc.
The books normally targeted to these exams are pretty tough to study as they become a bit boring after some time. But Manish has done it and presented it in a form of a wonderful tale. I found one thing distracting in the book, the footnotes. They made my reading slower and distracted me from the tale somewhat but still it’s a great effort.
English, being a global language is essential nowadays. I have also studied from books targeted for the competitive exams and after few days of studying, I would put them impeccably in my rack and they remain still untouched :) This book has made the learning fun as well as keeping the reader engaged. He could have made a separate glossary of the words also but the reader might have found this approach cumbersome as he/she would have to turn the  pages every time to look for a meaning, so the footnote approach is appreciated.
Overall, I would recommend this book to the readers looking for boosting their vocabulary. Its’ sure a fun way of learning. Good work, Manish! I thank you again for the wonderful read.

My Rating:
3.5/5 (for readers picking this up as story point of view or who are experienced readers)
5/5 (for the readers who really want to boost their vocabulary by learning in a fun way)

The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon - a review

The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon Title :- BEST LAID PLANS Author :- Sidney Sheldon Number of Pages :- 344 Publisher :- Harper Collins Genre :- Suspense/Thriller My Verdict:-  I came across this book while browsing Sidney Sheldon's books. The one great thing about the author I like the most is that he plans and implement the plot very cleverly. He knows how to pull the readers attention and he is very much successful in building up the suspense throughout the storyline. This book is about jealousy, anger, ego revenge and all sorts of similar emotions you can think of. The plot is extremely well executed and Sidney Sheldon knows well when to open up the mystery. The conspiracy theory he brings in in this book is pretty much attention grabbing which will lead you to crave for more. It is about two characters primarily, Leslie Stewart who is a beautiful PR executive who learns through her experience that power is all she needed for the revenge. Oliver Russe

I have waited enough You don't get it I guess you never will And it was a beautiful night The time when we kissed And stayed together Hand in hand, our love bloomed Oh, I loved every bit of it, I still do! We hit the sidewalk Walking past the insinuations And the implications Only to lose it all... I have waited enough You don't get it I guess you never will And it was a beautiful night...
